We are like a little family here so wanted to let you know who everyone is and what they do at What I Really Wanted.
So we asked everyone to answer a few questions. Some answers are quite interesting…
First up, our Head of Finance, Risk and Compliance and HR.
What did you want to be growing up?
What would you love to be doing?
Perhaps spending a little more time outdoors, surrounded by nature, and less time in an office. But in all honesty I love working in Finance. I would simply like to be a Chartered Management Accountant.
How would your partner describe you?
Fun, organised and tenacious (in his own words!)
What ‘subtle hints’ will you be dropping to your partner, for your next birthday?
I always get amazing presents, so I have no concerns! We are off to Copenhagen for my next birthday which I am sure will be brilliant fun.
What is the best present you have ever received; from who and why?
My Mummy took me to New York for my 21st birthday. We had an amazing time, made all the more awesome by the fact that we got to watch my cousin and his crew set sail on Leopard 3 and go on to break the Transatlantic West to East Record.
What is the best present you have ever given; to who and why?
I gave my brother some cycling over-booties one Christmas and I remember being so excited for him to open his present! Despite cycling for many years, he never owned a pair yet suffered from wet, cold feet in the winter. When I came cross these super sturdy, waterproof over-shoes, I knew they’d be just the thing! He wore them so much they eventually fell apart. I’d call that a success!
Who is the easiest person to buy for, and why?
My boyfriend is very easy to buy for as he has a lot of different interests so there is always something on his wish list!
Who is the hardest person to buy for, and why?
I have a few friends who are quite minimalist. Buying for them is tricky as they don’t want ‘things’ that may clutter up their home. Experiences are definitely the best gift for friends like these.
We definitely agree with you that experiences make great gifts Catharine 🙂
